Main Page INDEX My Horses
|
The summer of 1998 I went to Idaho to live with my Aunt and Uncle at their stable. I took my Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred with me. But I also rode all of their horses. It was a lot of fun and I got help with my horses and learned to ride and train more dressage. Now I can ride a trained horse and actually be able to get it to do something, before if someone said a horse could be slow down when you use leg I was like, huh. But now I understand it is a different kind of leg than the driving leg. Alibi, the TB, came back doing awesome Dressage, the QH is also doing great, but in western and huntseat. Below is some information and some pictures about the horses I rode there. Some of the horses have more information and/or pictures if you click on their picture.
This is a picture of me riding Greta Garbo, a 3 year old Oldenburg filly. She seemed to grow up so fast, I remember bottle feeding her when she was a baby. And pulling her mane for the first time, what an experience! She was very athletic, she gave me a good kick in the thigh, and I was standing by her neck. If you want to read more about her and see more pictures, click on the picture. This is a picture of me ride Debon Aire in 1998. She is a 5 year old 16.2 hand Hanovarian mare. She is another one who I remember when she was just a little baby. To read more about her, and see more pictures, click on her picture. The two yearlings sleeping in the pasture, click on their picture to see more of them.
I hope to post pictures of the other horses I rode here soon, I have to get them scanned and find them. And I didn't get pictures of all the horses that I rode. |
